The spectator seating includes 2,330 fixed seats installed on precast concrete platforms and 900 retractable seating in the competition pool, and 1,370 telescoping seating in the fieldhouse. The design provides also 2,800 additional temporary seating in the competition and diving pool during the Games. The seating design considers the most stringent barrier-free requirements. After the Games the temporary seating has been removed to reveal a monumental canopy supported by "V"-shape columns.
