RIVER PASSENGER TERMINAL

Located on the bank of the Escondido River, this terminal was designed to connect the capital Managua and the Pacific coast on the west with the Caribbean Sea to the east. The site plan provides parking for six busses and facilities for their crews travelling to the west. A pontoon bridge connects the building with the river where ships from the east coast arrive.

The design considers the local climate characteristics providing natural ventilation of the enclosed spaces, as well as large open and covered areas around them.
